LSU quarterback Myles Brennan is set to enter the transfer portal this season, head coach Ed Orgeron confirmed to reporters, including ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

Brennan was injured three games into the 2020 season, his first year as a starter, and then broke his arm before 2021 preseason camp.

The senior has played in 20 games during his LSU career, throwing 121 completions for 1,712 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Sophomore Max Johnson has held the Tigers' starting job for most of the 2021 season, throwing for 2,009 yards, 20 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Freshman Garrett Nussmeier replaced Johnson in LSU's loss to Ole Miss, which dropped the team to 4-4.
