Oregon pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux is improving from an ankle sprain, head coach Mario Cristobal said Monday, according to James Crepea of The Oregonian.

The sophomore had two tackles, including a forced fumble and sack, in the first quarter of Oregon's 31-24 win over Fresno State, but he limped off the field after a collision.

However, X-rays were negative and Thibodeaux returned to the sideline in street clothes and a walking boot.

A preseason All-American and highly regarded 2022 NFL Draft pick, Thibodeaux recorded eight tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and three pass breakups in seven games in 2020.

Thibodeaux is considered day-to-day as Oregon prepares to play fourth-ranked Ohio State on the road in Columbus during week two of its season.
