Five-star wide receiver Jordan Hudson announced his commitment to SMU on Sunday.

Hudson chose the Mustangs over notable offers from Alabama and Texas. He decommitted from Oklahoma last month after being committed for nearly a year.

The Garland High School product is the second-ranked wide receiver and 12th-rated prospect in the 2022 class, according to ESPN 300. He becomes the highest-ranked SMU commitment since ESPN began its rankings, according to ESPN's Tom VanHaaren.

Hudson is the first top-300 commit for the Mustangs this cycle. SMU's 2022 class also includes three-star receivers C.J. Nelson and Savion Reed, among others.
