Five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers committed to Ohio State on Thursday.

Ewers, the No. 1 prospect on the 2022 ESPN Junior 300, decommitted from Texas in late October after previously announcing his intention to join the Longhorns in August.

The Buckeyes were the runners-up for Ewers, and they became the clear favorites to land him after his decommitment.

Ohio State is seen as an enticing destination for quarterbacks. Dwayne Haskins was selected 15th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, and current starter Justin Fields will likely be a top-three pick in 2021.

Ewers completed 72.4% of his pass attempts for 4,003 yards and 45 touchdowns with three interceptions over 14 games at Carroll High School last season.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound pocket-passer is Ohio State's fifth top-100 commitment for the 2022 class.
