Florida State head coach Mike Norvell announced Wednesday that quarterback Chubba Purdy will miss the remainder of the 2020 campaign, according to 247Sports' Chris Nee.

The injury leaves Florida State with just two active scholarship quarterbacks - redshirt sophomore Jordan Travis and true freshman Tate Rodemaker. Former starter James Blackman recently left the program with the intention of transferring.

Purdy broke his collarbone during the Seminoles' first scrimmage in August and has been dealing with related complications over the last week. The freshman started in Saturday's loss to NC State, throwing for 181 yards and two touchdowns.

Travis, who missed last week's game with a concussion, is expected to be available to play this Saturday against Clemson.
