Louisville quarterback Malik Cunningham was taken off the field on a stretcher Saturday after his head hit the turf on a throwaway pass versus Pittsburgh in the fourth quarter.

Cunningham laid on the ground motionless for several minutes. He gave a thumbs-up while strapped to the stretcher.

Cunningham completed 9 of 21 passes for 107 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. The junior completed 64.3% of his passes and threw for six touchdowns against two picks in his first two outings of the season.

Louisville said after the game that Cunningham had feeling in his extremities and could move his body, according to the ACC Network's Kelsey Riggs.

The Cardinals fell 23-20 to the Panthers, dropping their record to 1-2.
