Pair of 2021 4-star DBs commits to Texas

Texas landed a pair of 2021 four-star defensive backs on Monday, as Ishmael Ibraheem and JD Coffey announced their commitment to the Longhorns together.

Ibraheem is the 10th-ranked cornerback in his class and the No. 114 recruit in the ESPN 300. Coffey is ESPN's No. 8 safety and 199th overall prospect.

The pair continues a strong 2021 cycle for Texas and head coach Tom Herman. The Longhorns already landed two top 100 recruits in Ja'Tavion Sanders and Billy Bowman Jr. late last year.

Ibraheem, a Dallas native, chose Texas over a number of high-level schools that also gave him official offers, including LSU, Georgia, and Oklahoma.
