As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the sports landscape globally, one of college football's premier coaches is trying something new during his isolation.

For the first time, Alabama head coach Nick Saban has created his own email address.

"They were sending them (emails) all to (wife) Miss Terry, aight," Saban said on Instagram live with ESPN's Maria Taylor, according to 247 Sports' Charlie Potter. "She fired me and said, 'I'm not dealing with your stuff anymore,' so I had to do it on my own.'"

Saban is among many college football coaches adapting their offseason approach in preparation for the 2020 campaign. The NCAA instituted a recruiting dead period until May 31.

"I do videos with recruits, phone calls with recruits," he said, according to Justin Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine.

"Whatever we can do to present to them on video that they would have seen when they came here to visit," he added.

Saban also revealed current Crimson Tide players were given Apple watches to monitor sleep patterns, according to Michael Bratton.
