Baylor has hired former North Carolina head coach and Texas assistant Larry Fedora as its offensive coordinator, the school announced Saturday.

"Larry has a track record of explosive, prolific offenses," head coach Dave Aranda said in a statement. "He will do a great job of spreading the ball around and making the defense have to defend every blade of grass. He will maximize our playmakers and put them in space to create mismatches.

"He is a great motivator and a former head coach that I will rely on for advice. I'm excited about working with him and maximizing our offense's potential."

Fedora has plenty of college head coaching experience, leading Southern Miss from 2008-11 and the Tar Heels from 2012-18. He's sported a 79-62 record across 11 seasons.

The 57-year-old spent the 2019 campaign as an analyst at Texas under Tom Herman after being fired by North Carolina.

Fedora rounds out new head coach Dave Aranda's staff after Ron Roberts was hired as the team's defensive coordinator Tuesday.
