Linebacker Demouy Kennedy gave his verbal commitment to Alabama on Sunday after previously committing to Auburn last summer.

Kennedy says he made his mind up after hearing Nick Saban's pitch on a recruiting trip.

Saban, who holds six national championships, presented Kennedy with two tables, one empty and the other with championship rings on it.

"I liked when (Saban) said, 'Would you rather gamble on this table (pointing to the ring table) or the other table?' I said, 'I’m gambling on the ring table,'" Kennedy said on WNSP-FM 105.5 on Wednesday morning, according to AL.com's Mark Heim.

Aside from his impression of Alabama, the four-star recruit was asked about his decommitment from Auburn in March.

"I told (Auburn coach Gus Malzahn) I was just excited, and I didn’t know what to do," Kennedy said. "I said, 'Recruiting was new to me. I was just excited and didn’t know what to do with it.' He said he understands, and he thinks I’m making the right decision."

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound recruit is ranked No. 93 in the ESPN 300.
