Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa believes he'll be fully recovered from a high-ankle sprain suffered during the SEC title game by Monday.

Tagovailoa said he isn't able to make cuts yet, but expects to be at full strength for the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma, according to Barrett Sallee of CBS Sports.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban told reporters Monday that Tagovailoa is ahead of schedule in his recovery. Saban revealed that Tagovailoa can throw from the pocket and run.

Tagovailoa said he made an "executive decision" to leave the SEC title game. Jalen Hurts took over during the fourth quarter and led an incredible comeback to defeat Georgia 35-28.

The sophomore sensation finished second in Heisman Trophy voting, losing out to Oklahoma's Kyler Murray.
