Report: Ex-Maryland HC Durkin consulting at Alabama

Former Maryland head coach DJ Durkin has recently been helping Alabama in a consultant-like capacity, sources told Matt Zenitz of AL.com.
Durkin was fired in October after a lengthy investigation into the death of offensive lineman Jordan McNair. It's unclear whether he'll have a long-term role with the Crimson Tide.
Head coach Nick Saban has made a habit of bringing in former head coaches to be part of his staff. Lane Kiffin, Steve Sarkisian, and Butch Jones were all hired after being fired from their previous jobs.
Alabama will play Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 29 in the second College Football Playoff semifinal.
