Watch: Ohio State claps back at 'mirage' comment from Michigan's Winovich

Ohio State responded Tuesday to Michigan defensive end Chase Winovich calling the Buckeyes' 62-39 victory last month "a mirage," with a little help from a "Saturday Night Live" skit.

The modified video shared by the official Ohio State Football Twitter account repeatedly displays the lopsided score.

Winovich was asked last week what he would say to recruits or to quarterback Shea Patterson about a return to school for his senior year.

"I would say to any recruit or any potential guy that sees maybe what happened in the Ohio State game or is persuaded against coming here because of that, I would say that alone is a mirage and what we've built here is a powerhouse," Winovich said earlier this month, according to Josh Henschke of 247 Sports.

"That's the Michigan I'm leaving. A Michigan that's headed in this trajectory where the sky is the limit. Not to quote Buzz Lightyear here but it's infinity and beyond with what we're working with here. Shea knows that. Shea knows that limitless potential. He could deal with that how he pleases."
