Tennessee's Guarantano suffers head injury vs. Missouri

Randy Sartin / USA TODAY Sports

Tennessee quarterback Jarrett Guarantano suffered a head injury Saturday against Missouri and is doubtful to return to the contest, according to the CBS broadcast.

Guarantano took a couple of big hits before leaving and was seen on the bench with his hands over his head. He was replaced by former Stanford transfer Keller Chryst.

After a rocky freshman campaign in 2017, Guarantano has been solid as a sophomore. He entered the Missouri game with 1,768 yards, 11 touchdowns, and two interceptions in 10 outings.
