Political commentator and LSU alum James Carville believes No. 1 Alabama is receiving a little bit of help from the SEC.

Appearing on ESPN College GameDay on Saturday morning, Carville said several of the Crimson Tide's opponents this year have been without their top defender for their matchups against Alabama, including the Tigers and their linebacker Devin White, who'll miss the first half of Saturday night's contest, because of the SEC.

In addition, Carville sported a sweater reading, "(SEC commissioner) Greg Sankey (loves) Alabama."

ESPN issued an apology to Sankey hours after Carville's appearance for his "over the top" actions.

White was ejected for targeting during the second half of LSU's Oct. 20 game against Mississippi State and suspended for the first half of the school's matchup with Alabama.

The NCAA's targeting rule states that a player who's ejected during the second half of a game for committing the infraction will also be suspended during the first half of the player's next game.

White has 76 total tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble this season.
