Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray won't start Saturday versus Baylor for disciplinary reasons, Yahoo's Pat Forde reports.

It's unclear how long the sixth-ranked Sooners plan to keep Murray on the bench. Sophomore Austin Kendall is expected to start in his place.

Rumors began swirling Friday evening that Murray was facing discipline for a minor violation of team rules.

The 21-year-old has thrown for 1,028 yards with 11 touchdowns and two interceptions through four games, making him a prime contender in the Heisman Trophy race.
