Georgia lands commitment from No. 20 overall recruit John Emery

Georgia bolstered its already-strong 2019 recruiting class on Sunday when four-star running back John Emery announced his commitment to the Bulldogs.

Emery is the No. 20 overall prospect on the ESPN 300, and the second-ranked running back in the class.

A number of top programs around the country pursued the Louisiana native, including LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Michigan, Texas, and USC.

By committing to the Bulldogs, Emery joins five-star defensive end Nolan Smith (No. 2 overall) and four-star receiver Jadon Haselwood (No. 12 overall) as top-20 recruits signing on to play for Kirby Smart.
