Thomas Campbell-US PRESSWIRE

Texas A&M made a splash in the 2019 recruiting cycle Wednesday, as four-star cornerback Erick Young committed to the Aggies, he announced via Twitter.

Young is the 10th-ranked cornerback in the 2019 class and the No. 90 prospect on the ESPN 300. He's also the 12th-ranked player from Texas.

The 6-foot, 206-pounder opted to join Texas A&M despite indicating Ohio State, USC, and Oklahoma were the top three contenders for his services Tuesday. The Houston native also held offers from other big-time programs across the country, including Alabama, Florida State, Auburn, Wisconsin, and Oregon.

Young is the fourth top-100 prospect committed to the Aggies from the 2019 cycle, a class headlined by five-star offensive tackle Kenyon Green.
