Tre Watson joins Texas as graduate transfer

Tre Watson is joining Texas as a graduate transfer, the running back confirmed via Twitter on Sunday.
Watson rushed for 709 yards and four touchdowns during the 2016 season, adding 21 receptions for 241 yards and four receiving touchdowns for California. The running back missed most of the 2017 campaign after tearing his ACL.
Upon joining the Longhorns, Watson is expected to compete for a starting spot immediately.
