NC State joined the list of teams in need of replacing key components next season, as leading rusher Nyheim Hines announced his decision Friday to enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

"We appreciate Nyheim's contributions to the entire athletic program as a multisport athlete," head coach Dave Doeren said. "He could've played college football anywhere in the country but he chose to stay home and come to NC State. He has made an impact on and off the football field."

As a junior, Hines finished second among ACC running backs with 1,112 rushing yards, behind only Boston College's AJ Dillon, and added 152 receiving yards on 26 catches to boot.
