Pitt will be in serious need of depth at quarterback next season, as redshirt sophomore Ben DiNucci announced Thursday via Twitter that he will transfer from the program.

DiNucci took over as the starting pivot for the Panthers after redshirt senior Max Browne suffered a season-ending shoulder injury against Syracuse on Oct. 7, and finished the campaign with 88 of 158 passes completed for 1,091 yards and five touchdowns to go along with five interceptions.

With DiNucci leaving the program and Browne's collegiate career over, Pitt's longest-tenured quarterback is now Kenny Pickett, who saw extended playing time late in the season against Virginia Tech and Miami.
