Scott Frost's task of rebuilding the Nebraska program got tougher on Sunday, as the Cornhuskers lost the commitment of four-star prospect Joshua Moore, the school's top recruit of the 2018 cycle.

Moore, who penned a letter on Twitter thanking Nebraska fans for their support, is the fifth-ranked athlete in the country and is listed as the 36th-best recruit on the ESPN 300.

He was expected to play a large role as a wide receiver in Mike Riley's system, but with Nebraska firing the former coach, Moore will reopen his recruitment.

The 6-foot-1, 171-pounder holds offers from a number of top programs including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Oklahoma. His twin brother Jordan is committed to Texas A&M, so it seems plausible that he would join his brother and remain close to his Yoakum, Texas home.
