Washington State dismissed its leading receiver, junior Tavares Martin, due to a violation of team rules, a team official told ESPN's Kyle Bonagura on Sunday.

Martin posted 70 receptions for 831 yards and nine touchdowns this season, emerging as the top target for star quarterback Luke Falk. Martin had 64 catches for 728 yards and seven touchdowns a year ago.

With his Cougars career finished, Martin will presumably look to transfer elsewhere or declare for the 2018 NFL Draft.
