Tennessee's Kelly says 'honesty' most important trait for next coach

Rumors are swirling about who will be Tennessee's next head coach, and one of the Volunteers' best players has a lone requirement for the new person in charge.

Tennessee running back John Kelly spoke to the media Wednesday about what he's looking for in the new hire.

"Just somebody who’s going to be honest," Kelly said, according to Connor Riley of SEC Country. "Honesty. That’s the most important thing to me."

It wasn't clear if that was a shot at the recently fired Butch Jones, who suspended Kelly in late October after he was cited for marijuana possession.

Kelly leads the team in rushing with 711 yards and eight touchdowns.
