Who will be the new top 4 in the CFP after Saturday's chaos?

Both the No. 1 and No. 3 teams lost Saturday, ensuring a major shakeup is on the way in the next College Football Playoff rankings. Georgia and Notre Dame were on the receiving end of lopsided defeats, opening the door for others who are just outside the top four to make a move.

Here is who deserves to be the four playoff teams come Tuesday:

1. Alabama

Alabama barely survived a trip to Mississippi State, and had the Crimson Tide lost, it would have marked the first time since 1966 the top three teams all lost on the same day. Instead, Nick Saban and Co. should return to their familiar No. 1 spot, as Alabama has now won 31 straight regular-season games. Unless they stumble, expect the Crimson Tide to hold onto that top spot until the playoff.

2. Miami

Miami may have finally put to rest all doubts about 'The U' being back. After a complete thrashing of No. 3 Notre Dame, the Hurricanes should vault all the way up to the second spot after sitting outside the top four in the first two weeks of the rankings. Miami should have a realistic shot of remaining undefeated until the ACC title game when it faces Clemson in what should be a win-and-you're-in contest.

3. Oklahoma

The Sooners should have enough on their resume at this point to not only crack the top four, but leapfrog Clemson as well. Oklahoma has road wins over Ohio State and Oklahoma State, and is coming off a convincing win over No. 6 TCU. The Heisman Trophy is Baker Mayfield's to lose and the Oklahoma offense seems impossible to slow down.

4. Clemson

Despite an awful loss to Syracuse earlier in the season, Clemson should continue to hold onto a playoff spot after surviving a brief scare from Florida State on Saturday. The aforementioned showdown with Miami looms in the ACC title game, but the defending champs still control their own playoff destiny as long as they hold serve the rest of the way.

Just missed the cut

5. Georgia

Don't expect the Bulldogs to fall too far down the rankings, even though they were crushed by Auburn. The Tigers are a top-10 team and it's only Georgia's first loss of the year. Kirby Smart's crew can still work their way back into the playoff if they don't drop another game and capture the SEC title.

6. Wisconsin

The Badgers aren't getting the love an undefeated Power 5 team should, because of their weak schedule, but an easy win over 20th-ranked Iowa should help the cause. Given the amount of one-loss teams out there now, it's going to be difficult to keep Wisconsin out of the playoff if it doesn't drop a game.
