Texas A&M quarterback Kellen Mond had a touchdown taken off the board not once, but twice, on the very same play Saturday against Arkansas.
The freshman was initially - and wrongly - ruled out of bounds on what would've been an 89-yard touchdown run.
However, the officials soon decided Mond never stepped out of bounds, leading them to reverse the call and rule it a touchdown. Oddly, the referee signaled the modified decision with a strange "raise the roof" dance move instead of a regular touchdown signal.
The officials then changed their minds again, ruling that they couldn't award Texas A&M a touchdown because they had whistled the play dead before Mond reached the end zone.
The call cost the Aggies big time, as they were forced to settle for a field goal after three unsuccessful attempts at scoring a touchdown from inside the 10-yard line.
The SEC acknowledged in a statement Mond was incorrectly ruled out of bounds, but noted the play couldn't be reviewed because of the premature whistle.
