Michigan's Bush avoids targeting ejection on massive hit

It's the opening week of the college football season, so some sloppiness is expected as teams get into the flow again.

That holds true for the officials as well, and that was obvious early on in the Florida-Michigan blockbuster on Saturday afternoon.

Wolverines linebacker Devin Bush was flagged for a late hit on the first play of the game, hammering Gators receiver Tyrie Cleveland with clear helmet-to-helmet contact.

The play should have resulted in an ejection for Bush, but, after review, the officials opted against throwing him out.
