Josh Rosen's shoulder injury cost him half of the 2016 season, something his coach feels the quarterback is turning into a positive.

UCLA head coach Jim Mora spoke at Pac-12 media days about Rosen's attitude this offseason, and praised his star pivot for a newfound maturity.

"I think that he's progressed tremendously," Mora said. "I think it's a huge credit to Josh Rosen in the way that he's matured and the way he's approached this offseason. Just like all these young men, they get it at different times. I think a lot of things factored into Josh having the productive offseason that he's had, certainly being injured and having football kind of removed from his life as a player at the time that he did, that affected him. Humbling himself to a certain degree and accepting coaching."

Rosen is viewed by many to be the first-round pick in next year's NFL draft, but has yet to have a true breakout season in his two years under center at UCLA. Perhaps an experienced, and more importantly, healthy Rosen will put it all together in 2017.
