Alabama, others offer scholarship to 6-foot-4, 286-pound eighth-grader

Schools offering scholarships to players still in grade school has become popular in recent years, but Jaheim Oatis might be the first who could actually play in college immediately.

The 6-foot-4, 286-pounder is only entering the 8th grade, but has already received offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State.

The first thing that stands out about Oatis is certainly his size, but he showed some excellent speed as well at the Ole Miss camp earlier this summer.

Expect to hear a lot about Oatis once he hits high school and continues his progression to the college ranks.
