Dino Babers and company received some good news Thursday.

Syracuse defensive back Antwan Cordy announced he has received a medical redshirt from the NCAA for his 2016 season.

Cordy appeared in just two games last year before an arm injury cut his campaign short. He now has two years of eligibility remaining.

The junior appeared in 17 games over the 2014 and 2015 seasons, registering three interceptions.
