Cal has interviewed Wisconsin defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox for its vacant head coaching position, according to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports.
The Bears are looking for a replacement for Sonny Dykes, who was fired last week after four seasons.
Wilcox took over Wisconsin's defense this season after two years at USC. The 40-year-old helped the Badgers to a seventh-overall national ranking in total defense in 2016.
Feldman also notes that Cal may have some interest in Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason for the role.
