The college career of Trevor Elbert has ended before the offensive tackle ever got to appear in a game.
Head coach Kevin Sumlin confirmed Tuesday that Elbert underwent career-ending surgery, but did not provide any specifics as to the nature of the surgery, according to Joe Clarkin of SEC Country. Elbert redshirted last season and had not appeared in any games for Texas A&M in 2016.
