Syracuse athletic director John Wildhack issued a public letter reprimanding director of football operations Brad Wittke following a sideline incident, where he shoved a Boston College player.

Wittke was seen making contact with Eagles defensive end William Harris after he intercepted Eric Dungey's pass. Harris was knocked out of bounds at the end of the play, where a skirmish ensued.

Wittke was named to the position in January 2016, after serving the same role with Dino Babers at Bowling Green.
