Alabama's Tim Williams arrested on gun charge

Alabama linebacker Tim Williams was arrested Tuesday morning for carrying a pistol without a permit, according to multiple reports.

Williams was reportedly booked into jail at 2:09 a.m. local time and released on a $300 bond.

The senior standout has six tackles and 1.5 sacks in three games this season, after recording 10.5 sacks last year, en route to establishing himself as one of college football's top pass-rushers.

The No. 1 Crimson Tide face off against Kentucky on Saturday.
