Death of Arizona's Hemmila ruled accidental overdose of painkillers, Xanax

Arizona lineman Zach Hemmila's death on Aug. 7 left many with questions as to what exactly caused the senior to die suddenly in his sleep.

The Pima county medical examiner finally provided answers to those questions Tuesday when the official findings of the investigation into Hemmila's death were released.

His death was officially ruled accidental due to the combined toxic effects of the painkiller oxymorphone as well as Xanax. Hemmila was preparing to enter his redshirt senior season, coming off 13 appearances in 2015, six of them starts.
