A season-ending injury is a tough obstacle for any athlete to overcome, especially one who's already made as many strides in his game as Ohio State defensive lineman Tracy Sprinkle.
A redshirt junior who went from playing in three games as a freshman to all 13 games as a sophomore last season, Sprinkle was looked upon as a potential main contributor on the Buckeyes' defensive line this season. He injured his patella tendon in the team's blowout victory over Bowling Green on Saturday, however, and will likely miss the remainder of the season.
Sprinkle tweeted Sunday to thank everyone who's offered support and vowed he will make his return to the Buckeyes "with vengeance."
The team was quick to second Sprinkle's positivity, posting its own tweet of support.
