Oklahoma running back Alex Ross will graduate and transfer, head coach Bob Stoops announced Friday.

Ross rushed for 172 yards and one touchdown on 32 carries last season, and served as the Sooners' primary returner on kickoffs.

"Alex has been a great teammate and team guy for four years for us, and we've always been proud of him," said Stoops. "This is an opportunity for him to go somewhere else and play full time. We wish him the best."

For his career, Ross has recorded 786 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 123 carries. As a graduate transfer, he'll be eligible to play for his new team immediately.
