After taking the first game of their three-game Super Regional series against Sam Houston State in a comeback, the Florida State Seminoles came out firing Sunday, taking a 9-0 lead in the third inning courtesy of shortstop Taylor Walls' second dinger of the game.
The pair of home runs came just hours after Walls scored the winning run on a single from outfielder Jackson Lueck to walk off against the Bearkats in Game 1.
Leadoff homers in the first and third innings won't optimize your RBI totals, but the power demonstrated is undeniable. Walls, the 165th-ranked prospect in this year's class according to Baseball America, might see his stock rise ahead of Monday's draft with big-game performances like this.
