You can't fault Craig Sword for his creativity.
The Mississippi State senior guard took part in Thursday's college slam dunk contest, and while he may not have achieved the highest score, his attempts were without a doubt the most memorable.
With Denny's sponsoring the event, there were several deliciously themed mascots on hand, and Sword decided to attempt to dunk over the giant pancake. It didn't exactly go as planned.
Sword was unable to complete either of his attempts and needless to say, Twitter had a lot of fun with the shenanigans:
Craig Sword just killed a pancake at the college slam dunk contest. He was a good pancake. He will be remembered. pic.twitter.com/Dk5Xnh7pwx

Craig Sword is eliminated from the semifinals at the College Slam Dunk Contest. So what. He just got free Denny's for life. He wins it all.

Good defense by the pancake here. Make him earn it at the linehttps://t.co/Jt6b0WpHmE

With several mascots to chose from, it's curious if Sword made the right selection. The sausage link may have been easier to clear.
