Oklahoma's Lon Kruger: 'We got whipped in every way'

After Villanova's thrashing of Oklahoma in the Final Four, Lon Kruger was frustrated with his team's effort.
The Sooners head coach didn't mince words following the game, admitting his squad was thoroughly outplayed by the Wildcats.
"We got whipped in every way," Kruger said.
He's not lying. Villanova shot better than 71 percent and won by 44 points to pull off the most lopsided victory in Final Four history. As bad as the defeat was, Kruger was proud of his team's accomplishments and what they did for the program.
"Disappointed these guys have this feeling; but not disappointed in this group for what they accomplished, they've been outstanding, I'm very proud of them," Kruger added. "They changed the culture of basketball at the University of Oklahoma."
When the dust settles on the painful defeat, Sooners fans will still have something to hang their hat on: Oklahoma is the first team to make the College Football Playoff and Final Four in the same year.
