LSU retaining head coach Johnny Jones

A disastrous season will not cost LSU head coach Johnny Jones his job.
Despite failing to qualify for the NCAA tournament and becoming the brunt of many jokes nationwide, athletic director Joe Alleva told Pat Forde of Yahoo Sports on Wednesday that Jones will return to the Tigers next season.
Johnny Jones will be back at LSU in 2016-17. "Go ahead and put it out there," Joe Alleva told me.

Jones completed his fourth season in Baton Rouge and has compiled an 80-51 overall mark. He's taken LSU to the NCAA tournament just once, and the Tigers were knocked out immediately.
With Ben Simmons going to the NBA, LSU should look significantly different next year.
