Providence's Kris Dunn to enter 2016 NBA Draft
Providence star guard Kris Dunn confirmed Tuesday he'll forego his senior season and enter the 2016 NBA Draft.
Dunn's decision doesn't come as much of a surprise, as he hinted after Providence's loss to North Carolina in the Round of 32 that it could be his last game with the Friars.
The 6-foot-4 redshirt junior has been touted as a first-round lock since he started at the collegiate level. He returned to Providence to ensure he leaves with a degree.
"I wanted to come back, get my degree, and make the NCAA tournament," Dunn said. "I also felt like I improved my outside shot, even though it still needs work, cut down on my turnovers, and become a better leader."
Many scouts believe Dunn will be taken in the top five in June's draft.
A dynamic scorer and feisty defender, Dunn averaged 16.4 points and 6.2 assists over 33 minutes per game this season.
