For the second time this season, Kansas outlasted Oklahoma for a massive in-conference win. Now, this wasn't a triple-overtime thriller like the last matchup, but the two heavyweights went toe-to-toe until the final buzzer, with the Jayhawks ultimately coming away with a 76-72 victory.

Kansas took it to Oklahoma early, as the high-flying Sooners' offense struggled mightily in the opening 20 minutes. For the first time all season, Naismith award frontrunner Buddy Hield failed to record a field goal in a half, but the Sooners managed to stay close.

The second half was consistent back-and-forth action, and as Hield awoke from his slumber, the Jayhawks had an answer for everything Oklahoma threw their way.

Sophomore guard Devonte' Graham was the best Kansas player all game, effectively guarding Hield and adding 27 points in his best performance of the season.

The turning point came late, as Hield was called for a controversial offensive foul. He then missed the game-tying free throw on the next Oklahoma possession with 20 seconds remaining, giving Kansas the opportunity to seal the game from the line - and they did.

Kansas' fifth consecutive win pushed it past Oklahoma in the Big 12 standings, moving into a first-place tie with West Virginia. The Sooners now sit alone in second, looking to regroup after their second loss in three games.
