UC Irvine has some extra tricks up its sleeve because it can utilize the tallest player in college basketball.
Mamadou Ndiaye is 7-foot-6, and although he's literally taken the Anteaters' defense to new heights, his wingspan played a pivotal role on offense Wednesday.
Down by three to Cal Poly with four seconds left, UC Irvine inbounded the ball from its own end at a height only Ndiaye could reach. He leaped up, caught the ball, and quickly passed it to the open man, who drained a 3-pointer to force overtime.
If this ain't #SCTop10 for @UCImbb, I don't know what is... Game-tying 3! #BWCMBB pic.twitter.com/upFjPdUoZI
