Minnesota guard Ahmad Gilbert will miss three-to-four weeks following surgery on his dislocated finger, coach Richard Pitino said on his radio show, according to Amelia Rayno of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Gilbert suffered the injury Saturday in the Golden Gophers' loss to Indiana. Minnesota has struggled to a 6-12 record this season, and is still searching for its first win in the Big Ten.
Gilbert, a freshman, is averaging 2.4 points in 7.8 minutes per game.
