No. 3 Michigan State invades California on Thursday when it tips off against Boston College in the Wooden Legacy tournament, and its players got a surprise visit during film study from a former Spartan now plying his trade on the West Coast.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, who starred at Michigan State from 2008-12, stopped by Wednesday night to visit the team and his former coach Tom Izzo.
The Spartans have a long way to go if they are going to match the Warriors' 16-0 start, but can get to 4-0 with a Thanksgiving win against the Eagles.
