St. John's Balamou ruled ineligible for unspecified NCAA violation

St. John's guard Felix Balamou will not hit the floor Friday when the Red Storm kick off their season against Wagner.

Balamou has been ruled ineligible for an unspecified violation of NCAA rules, according to Zach Braziller of the New York Post. St. John's later confirmed Balamou can practice, but not play.

The senior averaged more than nine minutes a game last season, posting 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds.
