Pacific's Eric Thompson, Alec Kobre, and Sami Eleraky will all sit out the Tigers' season opener Friday against Arizona amid an NCAA investigation of alleged academic misconduct within the program, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
Former Pacific assistant Joe Ford is reportedly the focal point of the investigation, but the Tigers are sitting the players until they are officially cleared to play.
"We're withholding the three," Pacific spokesman Ben Laskey said Tuesday. "It's not that their ineligible or suspended, but they are being withheld until the NCAA clears them."
