Former Notre Dame, Michigan State center goes on epic Twitter rant against NCAA
As many can attest, alcohol and Twitter don't always mix, and a one-time NCAA player currently plying his trade in Europe may have proved that in an epic way Wednesday.
Garrick Sherman is a 6-foot-10 forward-center playing professional basketball in the Eurasian country of Georgia. He played two seasons at Notre Dame from 2012-2014 after transferring from Michigan State, where he played two years under Tom Izzo.
It seems Sherman's squad, Dinamo Tbilisi, wrapped up its season Wednesday, so he admittedly imbibed with a few local beverages.
This led to a series of tweets from Sherman that, when strung together, constitutes a pretty strong rant against the NCAA and Michigan State.
In this one, he recalls his time with former fellow Spartan player Durrell Summers:

Sherman raised a point about playing professionally in Europe versus as an amateur back home.
Honestly tho forget the ncaa. If you saw what I got paid for the amount of fans I play in front of now. Compared to…

What I played in front of college for nothing. There’s no doubt the ncaa is taking advantage of student athletes

Then, as dawn apparently neared in Georgia, Sherman wanted to clarify his primary target before opting to call it a night.
My beef is with the NCAA NOT MSU. Good night Twitter, you never fail to disappoint (FYI it's 4:43 am in Georgia)
