North Carolina has landed the commitment of top recruit Kenny Williams.
It's a blessing to announce that I have committed to play my college basketball at The University of North Carolina
— Kenny Williams III (@KWill_24) May 2, 2015
The four-star shooting guard, ranked 82nd on ESPN's 2015 Top 100, was a former VCU signee but was granted a release from his letter of intent after former coach Shaka Smart took the Texas job.
Although the Tar Heels will return the bulk of their roster, they lack a perimeter game. Guard Marcus Paige was the only North Carolina player to sink more than 28 shots from beyond the arc.
With that, Williams will fill a hole as he's able to consistently drain the long shot.
He selected North Carolina over VCU and Virginia.
